Aunty Chom's Family

Aunty Chom married to Pak Cik Joonos bin Ali Baba. They have three children:

1. Jasri (Boy; DOB 9 December)
2. Aizat (Boboy)
3. Aizura

I met Pak Cik Joonos (he was called Yunus) at Datuk Penang's house up on the hill at 355-A Lengkok Pemancar in Penang, ever since I was a small girl (aged 5). He was a tall and thin boy.

I met Aunty Chom at her mother's house in Tanjung Bungah when they organised lunch. She is Kalsom bt Shaik Emam.

I met Jasri twice - once while having breakfast at Impiana KLCC in KL, and another time when he held a display booth at Universiti Sains Malaysia, at Dewan Utama in Kelantan. I took two photos.

I asked Jasri about where our ancestors' graves are located. He mentioned that they are sited at the Jalan Perak Cemetery and close to Makam Dato Keramat.

Jasri and Aunty Chom helped me with Datuk Penang's biography and photographs for my book, Biography of the Early Malay Doctors 1900-1957 Malaya and Singapore. I am thankful to both of them.
