The Brown Family in Glugor

Whom did Shaik Ahmad work for? When?

There were 4 possible men named Brown:

  1. David Brown - deceased in 1834
  2. Dr David Brown - deceased before Shaik Ahmad's time
  3. Messrs. F. S. Brown - he was in the welcoming party for Penang under Colonel Anson for the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to Penang in 1869. Shaik Ahmad probably worked for him.
  4. Messrs. J. G. Brown - he probably succeeded Messrs. F. S. Brown in 1939; Dr Che Lah bought a Brown's house at 355-A Lengkok Pemancar, Bukit Glugor, in early 1960s.
